On November 5, 2020, the Bureau of Science Communication of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Bureau of Science and Technology Promotion and Development jointly organized an interview group of "Entering the Journalists' Bank of the Chinese Academy of Sciences - Hongguang Special Project · Science and Technology Helps Advanced Manufacturing" (Xi'an), which was composed of People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, China Daily, Economic Daily, Science and Education Channel of China National Radio and Television, China National Radio and Television Station, Science and Technology Daily, China Youth Daily, China News Agency, China.com, Learning Power, Chinese Children, Ta Kung Pao, China Science Daily, Fruit Shell, Returning to Park and other media. Yang Xiaojun, General Manager of Zhongke Weijing, Zhao Hualong, Chief Engineer, Wang Fangzhen, Deputy General Manager, and Zi Jinfeng, Deputy General Manager, received the interview.

       The interview team first visited the Zhongke Weijing Technology Achievement Exhibition Hall and the ultra fast laser micro processing equipment processing site, and listened in detail to Zhongke Weijing's development history, representative products, and applications. They focused on understanding Zhongke Weijing's achievements and plans in the Hongguang Special Project, including the complete machine integration, core components, and pilot production line of ultra fast laser extreme manufacturing specialized equipment, the construction of demonstration line for automated processing of air film holes on aircraft engine blades, and the "13th Five Year Plan" scientific and educational infrastructure project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Subsequently, the interview team went to the Zhongke Weijing Equipment Manufacturing Base, the Hard Technology Enterprise Community, and Zhongke Weixing for on-site research and interviews, gaining a deep understanding of the Xi'an Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics Industrialization Company and its representative products.

       In 2016, in order to implement the national strategy of "innovation driven development", the Chinese Academy of Sciences implemented the "Special Action to Promote the Transfer and Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements" under the overall framework of the "Leading Action" plan. As one of the important measures, the "Hongguang Special Project" has selected a total of 27 projects from four batches since its implementation. Some projects have shown good growth trends and economic benefits prospects, which have attracted high attention and recognition from local governments and industry enterprises where the projects have been implemented, playing a demonstrative and driving role in leading the development of the industry. Among them, Xi'an Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics and Zhongke Weijing jointly undertook the "Hongguang Special Project" and "STS Project". The "Aerospace Engine Extreme Fine Manufacturing Equipment" project led by Xi'an Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics was successfully selected as the "Hongguang Special Project" of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2017 and has successfully completed the stage tasks, entering the second stage to accelerate the industrialization of achievements.

        In the Hongguang Special Project, Xi'an Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics focuses on breaking through engineering technology, while Zhongke Weijing focuses on the research and production of high-end femtosecond laser equipment. Zhongke Weijing has become a pioneer in high-end photonics manufacturing equipment in China. The company has launched a plan to go public on the Science and Technology Innovation Board and will continue to innovate and break through in the future, building a photonics manufacturing enterprise in Shaanxi Province.
